The conditions of the deal/s may have changed since the initial publishing of this post.
The Huawei Mate 10 Pro was supposed to get Huawei on the shelves at Verizon and AT&T earlier this year. Then, just before the phone was scheduled to launch on the nation's two largest carriers, both wireless providers changed their minds and decided not to carry the handset. This was around the time that the U.S. government warned consumers not to buy Huawei and ZTE handsets because of the manufacturers' alleged ties with the Chinese government. There was concern that devices from both companies steal data from American consumers and businesses.

While the Mate 10 Pro cannot be purchased from Verizon or AT&T, it has been available from Amazon, B&H and Best Buy to name a few places. Now, Amazon has the phone on sale for $549.99, and it includes a U.S. warranty. Normally $799.99 at the online retailer, the $250 off represents a 31% discount. Keep in mind that this is a GSM model only, which means it should run fine over the AT&T and T-Mobile networks. The color option available is Titanium Gray.

This happens to be a good price for a phone that was Huawei's top-line handset before the P20 Pro. The Mate 10 Pro carries a 6-inch OLED panel with a 1080 x 2160 resolution. That works out to an 18:9 aspect ratio. The Kirin 970 chipset, and its AI capabilities, are under the hood. That happens to be the same SoC that powers the P20 Pro. 6GB of RAM is inside along with 128GB of internal storage. The dual camera setup on back (12MP + 20MP) includes an aperture of f/1.6 on both Leica sensors, and features OIS. In front is an 8MP selfie snapper. Keeping the lights on is a 4000mAh battery that employs SuperCharge to give users a full day of power in only 20 minutes of charging.

If your Dad is an AT&T or T-Mobile subscriber, this would make one outstanding Father's Day gift. If interested, click on the sourcelink below.
