iPhone's DirecTV DVR Scheduler hits 1 million downloads, new features coming
In the one year since being made available at the App Store, iPhone users have downloaded DirecTV's DVR Scheduler app over 1 million times. In 2009, more than 12 million shows were scheduled to be recorded by DirecTV customers remotely. Now, more features are about to be added. While currently DirecTV users can set up a show to tape while on the go, cancel a taping, record to any DVR player in the house or just play around with the schedule up to 14 days in advance, new features are being added. Soon you will be able to order Pay Per View events even without a home line, and watch direct to mobile streaming trailers. The app recently was made available at the Android Market and the Palm App Catalog. A nationwide television ad campaign is about to start. Now hurry and set your DVR! Kitchen Nightmares is on tonight.
