iPhone OS 3.1 now available
Apple has just released the OS 3.1 for the iPhone which brings myriad bug fixes and a host of new items to the touchscreen device. The new OS brings with it a ringtone store for the handset that offers over 30,000 ringtones at a price of $1.29 for each one. A new application called "Genius" will recommend apps to iPhone users based on the software that they have already downloaded onto the phone.
Some of the fixes in 3.1 include improved syncing for music, movies, T.V. shows, podcasts and photos, warn you when you are browsing and you come upon a phishing site, fix issues that made icons display incorrectly, allow you to paste phone numbers into the keypad, improved Wi-Fi performance when using Bluetooth, redeem iTunes gift cards, codes and certificates in the App Store, and an option to "Save as a New Clip" when trimming a video on the 3GS. A complete list is available at the sourcelink. If you have downloaded the new 3.1 OS on to your iPhone, drop us a line and let us know what has changed with your handset.
