iPhone 5 rumor claims 15 million units to come out of the assembly line; shipping to start in September
Few would disagree with us if we say that the iPhone 5, or whatever it will be called when it hits the market, is among the most anticipated smartphones right now. Just look at all the speculation that Apple's next greatest creation is being subjected to – everybody is trying to guess what it will look like, how much it will cost, and, most importantly, when it will be up for sale.
Once again, the latest iPhone 5-related rumor comes from our favorite hit-or-miss source DigiTimes, which means that you might want to take it with a grain of salt. It is said that Pegatron Technology, a Taiwan-based notebook manufacturer, has received an order to produce 15 million iPhone 5s and is expected to start shipping them at some point in September of this year. The source also claims that Apple's next smartphone will not boast any groundbreaking hardware upgrades over its predecessor, which supports the theory that we might be dealing with an “iPhone 4s” here.
