iPad Pro M4 (2024): What's in the box?
The M4 iPad Pro is here, and with it there are also some changes to the unboxing experience. Yes, we know, quite unexpected... Don't be quick to get excited about any potential extra goodies, however, as the situation is kind of the other way around.

Apple has actually removed something that owners of previous iPad Pro models might be familiar with. Additionally, you might get an item that has never before been included in an iPad's box depending on how you spec out your M4 iPad Pro.

What’s in the box of the M4 iPad Pro (2024)?

  • The iPad Pro (either 11-inch or 13-inch version)
  • USB-C Charge Cable (1 meter)
  • 20W USB-C Power Adapter (Not included for the UK and EU markets)
  • Polishing cloth in nano-texture display glass option

This time Apple won't be including a charger in the box for iPads sold in the UK or the EU. Thankfully, US buyers will still get one, at least for now.

Another item that some of you might notice is missing are the Apple logo stickers that used to come with the iPad Pro. Apple will no longer be including those as part of its environmental efforts.

On the other hand, if you go for the nano-texture display option with the 2024 iPad Pro you also get a polishing cloth, much like with the Pro Display XDR. The thing is that Apple's nano-texture display is known for easily getting scratches, which is probably why the cloth is included with any of the company's products that feature such a dispaly.

The only difference between the contents of the smaller 11-inch and larger 13-inch iPad Pro (2024) is just the iPad itself. Since the 13-inch has a larger body, the box itself is also bigger to accommodate it.

What’s NOT in the box of the M4 iPad Pro (2024)?

  • Screen protector
  • A fast charger
  • A case
  • Apple's Magic Keyboard
  • Apple's Magic Pencil
  • Apple logo stickers

Don't expect any other goodies like protective accessories or any other peripherals that Apple makes for its premium tablets. Apple has never included anything more than a charging cable and a charger with its tablets, and even those are starting to slowly disappear from the box contents.

Does the M4 iPad Pro (2024) work with the M2 iPad Pro (2022) charging brick?

In short: it does, so you don't need to buy one in advance.

That being said, the charger Apple includes with its iPad Pro series is typically a 20W one, which is a bit slow at charging the large battery of a tablet. If you have a faster charger for your MacBook, for example, it will not only be compatible with your iPad Pro, but it will also charge it considerably faster.
