iMessage App Store goes live on iOS 10 with Super Mario stickers pack

0comments

Less than a day ahead of the public release of iOS 10, Apple has launched its new iMessage App Store for games, stickers, and apps that can be used within the updated version of Apple's messaging app. The new marketplace looks very similar to the App Store, as can be expected, and is accessed by tapping the blue apps icon to the left of the text box in iMessage.

Folks running the iOS 10 beta can now access the new store and install a plethora of sticker packs — including a Mario-themed one by Nintendo — as well as a handful of apps and games, such as The Weather Channel, OpenTable, and a couple of puzzle games. Although there's not a lot going on in the new iMessage App Store now, this will surely change in the coming months as more and more people begin to adopt iOS 10.

Apple is expected to begin the roll-out of iOS 10 on Sept. 13, at around 10 a.m. PST. For all the info on the impending update, check out our comprehensive iOS 10 review.
