Google has revealed its picks for the 2018 Google Play Awards, honoring Android apps and games that stand out with unique features and design. Some of the apps that made the final list have also been featured throughout Google's quarterly
Android Excellence selections, but the final picks for this year's Google Play awards have either been released or have had a major update since April 2017. So we're talking the best new apps and games here.
This year's Google Play Awards feature 9 categories that highlight the apps and games that deliver the best user experiences on Android, make use of the platform's stand-out features, utilize the Material design language to great results, and are optimized to run on a large number of devices. Interestingly, there are no
"Best App" and
"Best Game" accolades in this edition of the Google Play Awards, with categories instead spanning a number of genres of apps and games that manage to stand out among the competition.
All entries have been selected by Google employees and enjoy high user ratings on the Google Play Store, though not all of them are necessarily very popular. If you want to take a look at this year's winners, there's a chance you may find a very useful app or an addicting game that you'd never heard of. Check out the source link below for the full list.
