Wireless certification reveals surprises about Samsung's new wireless earbuds
Samsung’s forthcoming wireless earbuds have passed through wireless certification in Korea and Indonesia, revealing some interesting details that possibly contradict previous leaks.

Leaks about the new model have surfaced throughout the past month. Chinese certification revealed the projected 473mAh battery size, while a trademark filing in the US led many to believe that Samsung had selected ‘Galaxy Buds Beyond’ to be the moniker for the true wireless earbuds.

However, as MySmartPrice discovered, the device has been registered in Indonesia as Galaxy Buds Pro, not the Galaxy Buds Beyond. It is clearly the same device as those leaked previously, sharing the same model number SM-190, leading to a few different theories about the nomenclature.

One possibility is that Samsung will be marketing the same earbuds with different names in differing markets. Alternatively, the SM-190 earbuds may have not been the Galaxy Buds Beyond in the first place. The tech giant may have trademarked the name to use on yet another new model.

Whether the new models will turn out to be the Buds Beyond or Buds Pro (or both), these earbuds will join Samsung’s existing line of wireless earpieces, including the Galaxy Buds, Galaxy Buds Plus, and Galaxy Buds Live.

As previously reported, Samsung is expected to continue its trend of releasing new hearables alongside its flagships, we can expect all secrets to be revealed at the rumored Galaxy Unpacked event in January when the Galaxy S21 launches.
