Four men grab $27K worth of iPhone and MacBook units from crowded Apple Store
What is being described as a "small fortune" in Apple products was stolen by a brazen group of thieves who made off with their haul in the middle of a crowded Apple Store. The four hooded robbers grabbed 26 items worth $27,000 in just seconds this past Saturday. The store robbed was the one located inside the Fashion Fair Mall in Fresno, California.
"Various iPhones, the iPhone 6, iPhone 7 and 8, and even the new iPhone X was taken in this grand theft."-Lt. Mark Hudson, Fresno Police Department
One customer tried to block the exit, but was knocked down by one of the robbers. Police say that they are looking for five men including a getaway driver, ranging in age from 16 to 18. Police suspect that the gang could be responsible for other burglaries in the region where the same tactics were employed.
