Apple's coolest AirPods variant is on sale at $150 after a nice $50 discount
The conditions of the deal/s may have changed since the initial publishing of this post.
After seeing so many affordable AirPods rivals released or discounted over the last few months by companies as diverse as Sony, Amazon, Huawei, or Skullcandy and retailers like Fry's Electronics, Woot, and AT&T, the time has finally come to bring you news of a pretty good deal on the real deal.
We're not talking about the refreshed variant with a standard charging case this time around, mind you, but rather the one that includes a wireless charging case at a regular price of $199.99. Said MSRP has been reduced a few times since the commercial debut of the second-gen Apple AirPods back in March, but never as low as right now.
If you hurry, you can bag these "true wireless" bad boys by spending only $149.99, which means you're looking at pretty hefty savings of 50 bucks. That's certainly not bad for a hugely popular Apple product that's not even a year old. Obviously, you'll be getting brand-new, unused, unopened, and undamaged units here backed by a full 1-year manufacturer's warranty, although Micro Center sells the earbuds at their substantial discount exclusively in brick and mortar stores.
Worse still, there are only 25 such locations spread across 16 US states, but if it makes you feel any better, the marked-down AirPods are listed as available and ready for pickup in all those stores at the time of this writing. Of course, that could rapidly change, so if you live near a Micro Center in California, Colorado, Georgia, Illinois, Kansas, Massachusetts, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, or Virginia, you might want to go for a drive and pull the trigger as soon as possible.
We're fairly certain the computer department store chain doesn't have a lot of inventory on hand seeing as how the AirPods with wireless charging case are currently unavailable on Amazon due to high demand. Retailers like Best Buy do have them in stock right now, but only if you're willing to pay $180 and up.
