ZUK Z1 render is leaked by company CEO Chang Cheng
Just the other day, we passed along the latest about the ZUK Z1. ZUK is a subsidiary of Lenovo, and on August 11th the Z1 will be introduced. Among the features of the phone is a huge 4000mAh battery, the U-Touch fingerprint scanner, and a 13MP rear-facing camera. There is support for 4G LTE connectivity, and the Snapdragon 810 SoC will be driving the unit. Add to that a 5.5-inch 1080 x 1920 resolution screen, 3GB of RAM, 16GB or 32GB of internal storage, and you have the makings of a nice flagship device.
This morning, a render showing the back of the device was leaked, and we have to say that there is a good chance that the image is legit. That's because it was outed by ZUK CEO Chang Cheng himself, on his Weibo page. The image reveals the Type-C 3.0 USB Port which is not only reversible, but which also supports faster theoretical transfer speeds in the range of 5Gbps. It will also allow the phone to charge faster.
Thanks for the tip!

The render also reveals what could be 2.5D glass on the rear of the handset with a speaker on one side of the phone's bottom, and a microphone on the other side. The front of the phone, which wasn't shown in the leaked render, features a home button with a fingerprint scanner embedded inside. There is some talk that the ZUK Z1 will be priced at $300 USD, which would make it quite a bargain.
