ZTE Axon 7 Mini launches (in Europe) despite not being properly announced
ZTE is now selling the Axon 7 Mini, a brand new Android smartphone that hasn't been properly announced. Right now, the device seems to be available only in Germany, where it's offered unlocked in two color variants (silver and gold) for the price of €299 (about $334).
As previously reported, the Axon 7 Mini is a mid-range smartphone. Like the Axon Mini from last year, the new handset offers a 5.2-inch 1080p AMOLED display, which doesn't really make it a mini phone, though the device is obviously smaller than the regular Axon 7 (which sports a 5.5-inch Quad HD screen).
Made out of metal, the ZTE Axon 7 Mini is powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 processor, and runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Other features include LTE, dual SIM support, 3 GB of RAM, 32 GB of expandable storage space, and a 2705 mAh battery. On the back, the new Axon has a fingerprint scanner and a 13 MP camera with 4K video recording, while its front-facing camera is an 8 MP one.
At the moment, we don't know if ZTE is planning to sell the Axon 7 Mini in the US. If the phone will land stateside, it should be considerably cheaper than the regular Axon 7, which currently costs $399.
