YouTube Music app comes pre-installed on Android 10 and Android 9 devices
Google has just announced that the YouTube Music app will now come installed on all Android 10 and Android 9 devices, including the Pixel series. There are no new smartphones in the United States that come with Android 10 right out of the box year, but they will start arriving, once customers open their device, the YouTube Music icon will show up on the home screen.
Besides YouTube Music, Android 10 brings many new features like suggested actions in Smart Reply, improved Digital Wellbeing tools, Dark theme, and a lot more. It's also worth mentioning that Google doesn't insist on the merge of YouTube Music and Google Play Music, so if you prefer the latter, you can simply download the app from the Play Store.
Music listeners on Android devices are now just a few taps away from streaming their go-to tracks and discovering new music. From the gym to the car, to work – it’s all here, right in your back pocket. Discover official songs, albums and playlists, music videos, remixes, live performances, hard-to-find music, and more.

The move is probably the next step toward replacing Google Play Music with YouTube Music, as the latter needs more subscribers. And what better way to gain more customers than to have your app come pre-installed on all new Android 10 devices.
