Year-old drawings of a tablet by Nokia get published by USPTO
Nokia has been a player on the tablet market for quite some time now. Remember the Nokia N800? It was pretty high-tech for its time, yet now we are witnessing how the Finnish company is being gradually pushed down to the bottom of the tablet food chain.

Here is what one day might be an attempt from Nokia to launch a tablet aimed to compete with the big boys on the tablet market. Originally filed by Nokia in May of 2010, a patent has been just recently published by the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) and treats us to some technical drawings of an unknown device, which bears a strong resemblance to the Nokia N8 smartphone. Judging by the images, it appears that Nokia's tablet design lacks a physical keyboard in favor of a  touchscreen with an unspecified size. Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be a camera of any sort on the device though we suppose that one will most probably be fitted if the design is to launch one day.

As of today, it isn't clear whether the pictured concept will see the light of day anytime soon, but with a freshly signed partnership with Microsoft, Nokia probably has more important things on its agenda right now.
