The Sony Ericsson Xperia X2a has a little "a" next to its name to indicate that it is a model designated for North America. As of now, the handset remains unavailable but could be getting closer to launch. Right on the Sony Style USA web site is a page featuring none other than the wayward handset with a notification bar to click if you want to receive email whenever the Xperia X2a is launched. What sets the X2a from the X1 is the slightly larger 3.2 inch WVGA display and an 8.1MP camera. Windows Mobile Professional 6.5 will be powering the handset and there will be a 3.5mm audio jack. Like the X1, the X2 will have the panel interface that allows for quick navigation to your favorite places. The SlideView key gives you one touch access to your emails, texts, calendars and applications. An Arc slider helps the physical QWERTY keyboard lock in to an angle that makes it easier to type. For those who have been patiently waiting in North America for this device, it looks like your time might soon be here.
