The Xiaomi Redmi 2 Prime is not only coming to India, it is going to be priced at the equivalent of $104 USD. This is based on a listing of the device on the site of online retailer Flipkart. Because the device has yet to be officially announced by the manufacturer, the image you see on the listing is that of the Xiaomi Redmi 2.
The Xiaomi Redmi 2 Prime features a 4.7-inch screen with a 720 x 1280 HD display. That works out to a pixel density of 312ppi. The phone is driven by the Snapdragon 410 SoC, which includes a quad-core CPU and the Adreno 306 GPU. 2GB of RAM is inside along with 16GB of native storage. Those requiring additional storage can use the 32GB capacity microSD slot. The camera combo back to front weighs in at 8MP/2MP and a 2200mAh battery keeps the engine humming. Android 4.4.4 is pre-installed with MIUI 6 running on top.
Despite the listing on Flipkart, there is no word on exactly when the device will be made available for Indian consumers to buy.
