Xiaomi Redmi 2 Prime, a slightly beefed-up version of the regular Redmi 2, is probably coming to India
As Xiaomi's birthday nears, more and more rumors claim that it might release a new phone alongside the 7th generation of its MIUI skin, which is slated for an August 13 announcement.
The rumored device could either be the Xiaomi Redmi Note 2, or the Xiaomi Redmi 2 Prime, which appeared on Amazon India for a brief time.
The device in question is actually the Enhanced Edition of the Redmi 2, which launched in China back in February. It's a slightly improved version of the Redmi 2 and features 2GB of RAM and 16GB of on-board storage.

Apart from these doubled specs, the device comes with the same specs as the regular Redmi 2 - a 4.7-inch 720p display, quad-core Snapdragon 410, a microSD card, 8MP rear / 2MP front-facing cameras, a 2,200mAh battery, and Android 4.4.4 with MIUI 6 on board running the show.
As far as pricing is concerned, one of the more important aspects of a Xiaomi device, is yet to become clear, though we suppose it will be a bit priciet than the regular Redmi 2 that is sold in India.
Thanks for the tip!
