Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 live photo allegedly leaks

We've already seen a concept video of the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 made by the designer of the phone, Philippe Starck. And just yesterday, we showed you a picture that allegedly reveals the back panel of the handset. Today, we have a new photograph to pass along pertaining to the Mi MIX 2. The image claims to show a live image of the sequel, including the thin bezels surrounding the screen. While the picture does resemble the concept model in the video, the latter has bezels that are a bit thinner than what we see in the photo that accompanies this story.

Rumored specs for the Mi MIX 2 have the device carrying a 6.4-inch AMOLED screen with a 1440 x 2560 (QHD) resolution. Under the hood you will find a Snapdragon 835 chipset with an octa-core CPU and the Adreno 540 GPU. Three versions of the phone are reportedly on the way. The base model will have 4GB of RAM and 128GB of native storage. A mid-range variant is expected to feature 6GB of RAM along with 128GB of native storage, and the top model is said to be equipped with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of native storage. A 19MP camera is rumored to grace the back of the Mi MIX 2, with a 13MP front-facing selfie snapper.

While a recent rumor has the Mi MIX 2 becoming official on September 12th, that happens to also be the rumored date of the 2017 iPhone models, and we just can't see Xiaomi shooting itself in the head like that. Nonetheless, the MIX 2 has received its 3C certification in China, which means that the handset could be unveiled shortly.
