Xiaomi Mi 6X specs revealed: 6-inch display, dual cameras
The specs of Xiaomi’s upcoming Mi 6X have been revealed in their entirety. The upcoming smartphone only recently obtained its TENAA certification, revealing a number of details and its design in the process. Now, with the Xiaomi Mi 6X's reveal date set for April 25, the remaining specifications have appeared courtesy of XDA Developers.
As previously leaked, the new information confirms the inclusion of a large, 6-inch LCD display complete with the popular 18:9 aspect ratio and a 2160x1080 (FHD+) resolution. Furthermore, in terms of power, the smartphone will ship with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 660 on the inside, while this will be coupled with either 4GB or 6GB of RAM depending on the consumer's preference. In addition, customers who purchase the 4GB variant will also gain access to 32GB of internal storage, while the 6GB model will be available with both 64GB and 128GB of storage. In any case, this will be expandable via a microSD card slot. Regarding the camera configuration, the rear of the Xiaomi Mi 6X will sport both a main 20-megapixel sensor alongside a secondary 12-megapixel one, with a dual-tone LED flash expected. Up front, on the other hand, a 20-megapixel selfie lens will be featured. In addition to all of this, an average-sized 2,910 mAh battery will be included along with fast charging support, while an IR blaster will also be present. Unfortunately, neither NFC or a 3.5mm headphone jack are to be expected.
On the software side of things, Android 8.1 Oreo will ship straight out of the box, with Xiaomi’s MIUI 9 overlay on top. Furthermore, support for both portrait mode and a new “AI Lens” feature are set to be included. Lastly, in regards to the Xiaomi Mi 6X’s release date, nothing has been confirmed as of yet, but it is currently expected to be available in a variety of colors including Black, White, Gold, Silver, Gray, Rose Gold, Pink, Red, and Blue, with the launch event set to take place on April 25.
