Xiaomi Mi 5 alleged specs leak a week before the reveal

After more than a year of different leaks, rumors, and speculation, we are finally going to see the Xiaomi Mi 5 in just a week, unveiled at this year's MWC. Xiaomi, as you may know, is a China-based manufacturer that became popular thanks to offering phones with great hardware at bargain prices. While thus far it has been selling its handsets only in Asia, the fact that the Mi 5 will be showcased at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona makes us hopeful that it may be the first Xiaomi smartphone to be sold internationally.

Wondering what specs the Mi 5 is going to have? Well, there are plenty of rumors to go on, but if that's not enough – today, someone was kind enough to leak what is allegedly the exact spec sheet of the Xiaomi Mi 5. And, as one might expect, it looks like a no-compromise powerhouse.

According to the photo, we will be looking at a 5.15-inch display with a 1080 x 1920 pixel resolution. The phone will, of course, be powered by a 64-bit, octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 SoC, clocked at 2.15 GHz . Unfortunately, there's no word on memory or storage. What we are expecting is at least 3 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal memory.

The main camera is listed as having a 16 MP sensor, assisted by OIS and laser autofocus, and the selfie snapper is a 4 MP one. We've seen some impressive photos, allegedly taken with a Xiaomi Mi 5, posted by VP of International Hugo Barra, so we can't wait to see if the real deal lives up to that hype.

The leak still doesn't reaffirm any of the previous rumors about a pressure-sensitive screen, or a Windows 10 version of the smartphone, so there's still something to sit on .
