Woman talking on a cell phone during a movie ends with a man getting stabbed
It's quite scary when you think about all the horror stories out there that point to cell phones as the culprit behind accidents. Now it looks like it's starting to move into an area you'd least expect – the movies. During a screening of Martin Scorsese's “Shutter Island” at the Cinemark 22 theater in California, a man that complained about a woman talking on a cell phone during the movie was stabbed with a meat thermometer. Although the theater was completely packed for the 9:00 PM screening, the dispute erupted afterwards when everyone cleared out after the movie was over. Two men that accompanied the woman ended up coming back a few minutes after the movie was over and stabbed the victim. Sheriff's spokesman, Steve Whitemore, said that “it was a vicious and cowardly attack” that left the victim hospitalized with serious wounds. Unfortunately there are no happy ending to this story, except for the fact that the victim managed to survive the attack, as the suspects are still at large. It's a bit scary to think that someone could go so far as to actually stabbing someone after being told to stop chatting on a cell phone during a movie – now we'd question if it's even worth your life doing it.
