Windows Store search now links to the Microsoft Store
With Windows 10 Mobile now powering 7% of Windows Phones and growing, Microsoft has improved the capabilities of the Windows Store search feature. With the update, search for certain products, and you will receive a link right to the Microsoft Store. Search for items like the Xbox One, Office 365, Microsoft Surface and Microsoft Band 2 from Windows Store search, and you can quickly be whisked away to the site where you can make your purchase.

The next time you find yourself in the Windows Store on your Lumia 950 and a urge hits you ("I need a Surface Pro 4 immediately"), all you need to do is type the name of the product into the search box, and you will be whipping out your credit card in no time. For Microsoft, the more ways it can link to the Microsoft Store, the more sales it can make.

For the moment, this new feature will not work with products available from the Microsoft Store that are made by third parties. While not the most earth shattering update, it does show that the wheels are continuing to turn in Redmond as Windows 10 Mobile goes up against Android and iOS.
