Launched just yesterday and now available from the Google Play Store, the Red Nexus 5 is the grand prize of a contest being run by Google for the upcoming Valentine's Day holiday. One person will win a Red Nexus 5 and an accessories bundle, while four others will win the phone. Another 45 winners will receive a $25 Google Play credit.
All you need to do to enter the contest is show Google what you're most passionate about. Go to the sourcelink, fill out the form, and upload your picture. The file should be no larger than 10MB and can include JPEG, GIF, PNG or BMP formats. You are also welcome to share your picture via social networks with the hashtag #iheartred.
Google does have some tips for entrants. If you're submitting a photo of another person, make sure you have permission to use their image. Google says that it welcomes your story even if you don't have a Nexus or Android handset. As a tip, the Mountain View based tech titan adds that you should not put brands at the forefront of your entry. Instead, you should focus on your story. Google will judge the pictures based on originality (25%), creativity (25%), the feeling of the picture (25%) and how memorable it is (25%).
The entries will be posted on a website starting February 14th with winners getting notified three days later. The grand prize, which includes a 16GB Red Nexus 5, a bumper case and a wireless charger, is valued at $426. Good Luck!
