Wi-Fi-only version of the Dell Streak 7 listed on Amazon for pre-order
How do you get on the tablet bandwagon without spending a fortune and avoiding the dirt-cheap knock-offs at the same time? The Dell Streak 7 is among the probable answers to that question. It runs at about $200 after signing a contract with T-Mobile for a wireless data plan and if you choose to roll without any commitment, the tablet is going to cost you roughly $450, which is still a good offer.
Well, what if we told you that the even cheaper Wi-Fi-only version of the Dell Streak 7 is on its way? Yup, it has just recently been certified by the Wi-Fi Alliance and has already made its way to Amazon's listings. Retailing for $379, the Wi-Fi-only Dell Streak 7 is available for pre-order on Amazon and should be cheaper than most of the brand-name tablets that are out there.
You shouldn't expect anything different from the 4G-enabled Dell Streak 7 besides the lack of cellular connectivity, of course. Your money buys you the same 7-inch Android-powered tablet with Nvidia's swift Tegra 2 chipset under its hood and 16 gigs of storage capacity. Exact shipping dates have not been announced yet, but we do not expect it to be too long before the first orders start rolling out.
