Wi-Fi only Nexus 9 tablet goes up for sale in the Google Play Store
The day some, if not many of you have been waiting for has come. The Nexus 9 is now on sale inside the Google Play store. Unfortunately, it is a "select markets only" affair as usual, with the markets in question being Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, India, Japan, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and the United States. Lucky you!
Currently, the tablet love-child of Google and HTC is sold in White and Black Wi-Fi only models available in 16GB and 32GB versions, priced at $399 and $479, respectively. A third color, "Tan", will be coming at a later date, along with cellular versions that don't have a price and release date yet.
The Nexus 9 packs a 8.9-inch 1536x2048 display driven by a 2.3GHz 64-bit NVIDIA Tegra K1 processor paired with 2GB of RAM and powered by a 6700mAh battery. An 8-megapixel main camera, 1.6MP front cam, and front-firing stereo BoomSound speakers complete the package.
