Watch industry bigwigs like Tim Cook, Bill Gates, Jeff Bezos, and Mark Zuckerberg take on the Ice Bucket Challenge
The list of celebrities, among which tech industry bigwigs, taking onto the Ice Bucket Challenge now spans dozens of names. For those who remain unaware, the challenge aims to raise awareness to ALS (Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis), more widely-known as Lou Gehrig's disease, and it has done so splendidly.
The rules go like this: you (or whoever) post a video of you dumping a bucket of ice-cold water on your head, and then challenge up to three friends. The same have to answer the challenge within 24 hours or donate to the ALS Association, or both.
Nobody can pinpoint the exact origin of the Ice Bucket Challenge, but what actually matters is that it has gone viral, and that has helped the ALS Association raise a large sum of cash to help battle ALS. According to ALSA, as of August 16th, the Ice Bucket Challenge-related donations amount to $11.4 million, a massive increase from the $1.7 million donated in the same period (July 29 - August 16) last year.
As you must have gleaned from the title, quite a few tech industry execs have taken up the challenge and filmed it, and it's time we all had a look.
