Watch Samsung's entire CES keynote and marvel at the YOUM flexible displays
Samsung posted the official video of its hour long keynote presentation yesterday at CES, where it announced the Exynos 5 Octa mobile procesor with eight CPU cores, and flaunted frugal LCD display tech, as well as we got to see for the first time actual prototype devices with its YOUM brand of flexible display technology.
The bendy screens are made with a plastic, instead of glass, substrate, which makes them durable, and allows Samsung to fold them in half, taper them to the sides of your phone, or roll them up in a tube.
They also showed a flexible screen prototype, running Windows Phone 8, so that we don't think these are only for Android devices, and there were many more surprises, including the former President Bill Clinton taking up the stage to talk tech and charity cooperation between his Clinton Foundation and Samsung's giving initiatives. Enjoy - the Exynos 5 Octa talk starts at 12:34, and the YOUM display prototypes demo at 39:47.
