Want a Jolla Tablet? You can now pre-order one for $299
Initially announced in late 2014, the Jolla Tablet was met with enthusiasm by fans, who have successfully funded its launch via Indiegogo.
All those who've ordered the slate through Indiegogo will receive theirs "in a few weeks". In the meantime, Jolla announced that a new batch of tablets can now be directly pre-ordered via its official website.
You can pre-order a Jolla Tablet if you're based in the following markets: US, Canada, European Union, Norway, Switzerland, Russia, India, Australia, and Hong Kong. The 32 GB model costs €267 ($299), while the 64 GB model can be purchased for €299 ($335). Both are expected to start shipping in late October.
Running Sailfish OS 2.0 (with a gesture-based interface), the Jolla Tablet sports a 7.9-inch IPS display with 2048 x 1536 pixels (330 ppi), and is powered by a quad-core, 64-bit Intel Atom Z3735F processor clocked at 1.8 GHz. It's also got a 5 MP rear camera, a 2 MP front-facing camera, 2 GB of RAM, microSD card support, and a 4450 mAh battery. There is no LTE connectivity on board.
