Vonage Mobile app adds free Vonage-to-Vonage video calls
An update to the Vonage Mobile app for iOS and Android brings a major new feature to the app, free video calling from one Vonage customer to another. The calls can be made over both Wi-Fi and cellular networks and will display the view from both your camera on back and the one on front. One thing that the updated Vonage Mobile app can do that you don't see every day, is the ability to switch from a video call to an audio only call right in the middle of the conversation.
Vonage now supports the Apple iPhone 5 following the update on the iOS version of the app. Both iOS and Android versions of the Vonage Mobile apps will now allow you to leave voicemail if the party you are looking for doesn't answer your call. Want to share the Vonage app with others? You can now go to the Share Vonage Mobile App section and invite all or some of your Facebook friends. Thanks to the update, you can now make calls directly from your contacts list while viewing it. There is also a new and improved UI, along with the usual bug fixes.
The app offers free Vonage-to-Vonage calls as well as free calls to the U.S.,Canada and Puerto Rico for up to 3,000 minutes a month. International calls are heavily discounted.
