As we reported earlier last month, web retailer Expansys had put up the HTC Touch Pro2 for preorder with the date on the release field showing June 5th. Now we have the device making its' carrier debut on the Vodafone UK site, listed under Business phones. Under the heading for price, it simply says "This phone is coming soon." While no price or launch date were posted, it has been the custom of the European carriers to heavily subsidize the more expensive models for those customers choosing to pay high monthly minimum rates. While certainly not a big deal, it is interesting to note that while the manufacturer has titled the handset the Touch Pro2, Vodafone has chosen to add a space and call it the Touch Pro 2.
Will the Touch Pro2's luscious 3.6 inch display hit the States? Earlier this month we told you that the phone had made it through the FCC and the test reports showed that the phone will support AWS 3G which points right to T-Mobile as a potential target. Like with the overseas launch of the device, pricing and availability date for a U.S. release is still up in the air along with a definitive selection of Stateside carrier.
