Vivo XShot becomes the first smartphone to top 40,000 on AnTuTu

No smartphone had ever done it before. The 40,000 mark on the AnTuTu benchmark site was pristine territory, awaiting the first handset to cross that barrier. Sure, there were some phones that came close. The most recent was the OnePlus One, which tallied 38,000. But today, it is a whole new world, as the unannounced Vivo XShot scored 40,023 on the site. That score also beat out contenders like the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and the Sony Xperia Z Ultra.

This handset comes from China where it is produced by BBK Vivo. The device carries a screen with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 and is powered by a quad-core 2.5GHz Snapdragon 801 MSM8974AC CPU. 3GB of RAM is inside along with 32GB of native storage. Right now, the phone has Android 4.3 installed.  BBK Vivo is the company that produced the first smartphone with a QHD resolution screen, which was the Xplay 3S.

Returning to the Vivo XShot, just the other day, we told you about the beastly 24MP rear snapper on the phone, which has OIS, a dual LED flash, and an aperture of f/1.8. The latter means that pictures can be taken in low-light conditions. The front-facing camera is believed to be 7.68MP, keeping with the camera-centric tone of the phone.

So far, the Vivo XShot has not been introduced, but as the first smartphone ever to hit the 40,000 mark on AnTuTu, you can bet that it is eagerly awaited.
