Next Sunday, prepare to be overwhelmed by an avalanche of new phone announcements. For example, Nokia, Huawei and LG are each planning on unveiling some new handsets on February 26th; among the new models greeting the light of day will be the eagerly awaited LG G6 flagship, a possible high end phone from Nokia, and both the Huawei P10 and P10 Plus. And just to remind you about the latter models, Huawei has posted a video on social media.

The Huawei P10 and P10 Plus are expected to be available in some unusual colors for a high-end smartphone. During the last week or so, Huawei has been posting video clips referencing different hues. The latest video posted today (found at the top of this story) not only includes different segments that show backgrounds in Purple, Gold, Green and Blue (possibly colors that the devices will be available in), it also reminds us that the P10/P10 Plus will have a dual-camera setup in back (#OO) and will be unveiled one week from today.

The world's third largest smartphone manufacturer has a pair of highly spec'd devices here. The phones feature a 5.5-inch screen carrying a 1440 x 2560 resolution, and are powered by a home-grown Kirin 960 chipset. The models will be equipped with an octa-core CPU and the Mali-G71 MP8 GPU. Both cameras on back of the P10 and P10 Plus will be 12MP, and we could see a selfie snappin' 8MP front-facing camera. One rumored difference between the P10 and the P10 Plus is that the latter will offer a curved-edge display, compared to the flat screen found on the former.

Just one week to go until it will be raining smartphones from heaven. And on February 25th, the day before LG, Nokia and Huawei come to the stage, we will see the BlackBerry Mercury get its real name. Anything but DTEK70 will be welcomed.

PhoneArena will be at MWC, providing you with all of the breaking news, hands-on video and new product introductions that you crave. Check in often for the latest from Barcelona.
