Victory for Sprint's Galaxy Victory as it gets Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update
"It's not true that mid-range phones are quickly forgotten by their manufacturers and never receive software updates." And now, we can even back this statement with the fact that Sprint's Samsung Galaxy Victory 4G LTE just got updated to Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean!
The new software should be available as an over-the-air update and will bring a number of goodies like more advanced notifications, voice typing, the ability to create and manage Google+ events, integrated walking directions in Google Maps, Swype, bugfixes, optimizations and so on.
The Samsung Galaxy Victory 4G LTE is an affordable, LTE-enabled smartphone, which Sprint is selling for $49.99 bundled with a two-year contract. You can also pick one up off-contract from Virgin Mobile at a price of $249.99.
