Verizon will be the first carrier to sell the HTC 10 in the US

Verizon Wireless today announced that it's going to be the first carrier to sell the HTC 10 in the US. As you may know, the new HTC flagship smartphone (officially unveiled last week) will also be available from T-Mobile and Sprint, while AT&T doesn't seem to be interested in offering it.

Verizon will take pre-orders for the HTC 10 beginning April 29. Also on that day, interested customers will be able to check out the handset in stores. Verizon hasn't shared pricing details, and neither an exact release date, but we know that the new HTC phone should start shipping in early May.

Meanwhile, pre-orders for unlocked HTC 10 units are already available directly from HTC USA's website. Right now, you can order only two color variants of the handset: Carbon Gray and Glacier Silver. While the phone's regular price is $699, you can use a promo code to get $100 off (apparently, this is valid only if you're pre-ordering directly from HTC).

Like the HTC One M9 and its predecessors, the HTC 10 has an all-metal body, though it looks quite different from the One M ex-flagships, as it's borrowing design elements (including a front fingerprint scanner) from the HTC One A9. Stay tuned for our HTC 10 review!
