Verizon system leak confirms the new Moto X name and bamboo in stores
We broke the news last week when we were recounting everything we expect to see with the Motorola event scheduled to be held this coming Thursday, September 4th in Chicago, and now it has been reconfirmed in a Verizon system leak that the device we have been calling the Moto X+1 will most likely keep the Moto X name instead.
A Verizon system leak sent to Phandroid shows listings for new devices labeled as "the new Moto X", which confirms what our source had said about the naming of the device. However, there are two other pieces of info in the listing that may be even more interesting. First of all, there is a listing for "the new Moto X White/Bamboo", which implies that there will be three models of Moto X on store shelves this year: black, white, and bamboo. No longer will you have to go through the Moto Maker customizations to get bamboo.
Additionally, the listings show options for 16GB and 32GB. We had heard rumors that the base model of Moto X would be 32GB, meaning the base price would be $249. However, this listing seems to show that there will be a 16GB model, which we hope will mean the base price will be $199 on contract. No listing for a 64GB model though, so that rumor may be out.
