Verizon reveals special deals for Father's Day that start today

Even though Father's Day falls on June 19th this year, Verizon has a number of deals for the holiday that start today. For example, buy two Samsung Galaxy S7, Samsung Galaxy S7 edge or Samsung Galaxy Note 5 handsets using Device Payments, activate one new line, and Big Red will give you a free Samsung 50-inch Smart TV. Device Payments is Verizon's version of the installment plans used by most carriers these days.

If you are looking to buy just one Samsung Galaxy S7, Samsung Galaxy S7 edge or Samsung Galaxy Note 5, Verizon will hook you up with a free Samsung Gear VR headset with Oculuar VR experience content. That is a $150 value. Now if you buy any of the three Samsung handsets on Device Payments and activate a new line, you will receive a free 32-inch Samsung Smart TV.

Verizon is also sweetening the pot for those looking to switch carriers. Move to Verizon, buy a new smartphone on Device Payment, and you will receive a $100 bill credit. You will have to activate the device of course, and port over your existing number. If you do leave your current wireless provider for Verizon, you are eligible for up to $650 to pay the balance of your phone purchase, or to pay the ETF if you break a contract. You will have to trade in your current device for a new phone to qualify.

Verizon also announced that it has two accessories on sale for its Accessory of the Month promotion. Normally $199.99, the Bose SoundLink Mini Bluetooth Speaker II will be $179.99 for the entire month. The Fitbit Blaze "smart fitness watch" is also $20 off at $179.99.
