Verizon officially announces push-to-talk feature for the BlackBerry Tour 9630
It isn't too long now before Verizon Wireless BlackBerry Tour 9630 trotting owners will have the ability to execute chirp-like actions on their handsets. According to plan, push-to-talk will go live on the handset tomorrow, March 30, for both BlackBerry Internet Service and Enterprise Server users – customers will need to add the feature and download the app through the Application Center on their phones. Once all of that is complete, the left convenience key will automatically become the push-to-talk button – thus catapulting the Tour to a new realm of services. The BlackBerry Curve 8350i isn't the only postpaid offering now to sport commands instantly to a handful of other phones as the Tour aims to show Verizon customers how it is on their network. Now this feature isn't limited to their rugged line of devices anymore as the Tour starts to enter the mix of things. Now that the existing Tour got the special treatment, it'd be nice to see the same thing happening to some of the other BlackBerry smartphones on their lineup.
