Verizon introduces the Motorola DROID MAXX 16GB in two colors
We haven't heard terribly much lately about the Motorola DROID line. The once proud smartphone brand has been pushed to the side by Android handsets from other manufacturers, and even from within Motorola with the
Motorola Moto X. In an attempt to jump start the DROID line, Verizon is now offering the
Motorola DROID MAXX 16GB.
The new variant of the DROID MAXX is available in high gloss red, and black with chrome, and comes with 16GB of native storage. The OG Motorola DROID MAXX comes in black only, and features 32GB of memory. Since the new units have a lower amount of storage, Verizon has lowered the price of the Motorola DROID MAXX 16GB to $99 with a signed two-year pact, or $499 off-contract. That is a $50 and $100 savings respectively, from the 32GB version of the phone.
The Motorola DROID MAXX comes with a 3500mAh battery for what Motorola says is 48 hour battery life, and was launched last August. While available online now, it will be in Verizon stores on April 22nd.
