Verizon is in the works to get an official Sense 2.5 UI for the Touch Pro2?
Verizon customers that were quick to purchase the HTC Touch Pro2 when it first became available won't need to wait long before the beloved smartphone gets some new work done to it. Although the HTC Imagio clearly offered the Sense UI right out the gates, some customers had to find an alternative route to get it onto their own handsets – it seems like the Touch Pro2 had to rely using the HTC HD2's version of Sense 2.5 for the past few months. All of that is about to change as it's rumored that Big Red is currently working on a Touch Pro2 version of Sense 2.5 – with the chance of it being available soon. It seems like there is a PPCgeek thread where a test ROM was made available to certain employees to test – and it looks like the new Windows Mobile 6.5 VZW ROM features Sense 2.5. It's also worth noting that it's still stuck on WM 6.5 as opposed to the newer 6.5.3. Additionally, there was also the noticeable lack of programs, e-reader, documents, and footprints tabs. These missing items may hint that it is slightly stripped down so it could function a bit more smoothly on the 528MHz processor on the Touch Pro2.
