Verizon bound HTC world phone will bring Android love some time in Q1 2011?
Sure there are plenty of GSM and CDMA only based Android smartphones, but we have yet to see a true world phone that consumers can use both domestically and abroad that'll work in just every corner of the planet. Things might soon change as a rumored HTC phone with Verizon's branding might pursue the route of being a true world phone. The images taken reveal that this rumored Android powered smartphone will pack a decently sized screen, 4” display possibly, and a physical landscape slide out QWERTY keyboard. Additionally, it is speculated to also bring speed into the mix with a minimum clocked 1.2GHz processor on board. Currently, there are a handful of Windows Mobile and BlackBerry smartphones that offer true world capability, but Verizon's current Android lineup sport the CDMA only flare. Naturally this will prove to be a great solution for world travelers who would rather side with using Android as opposed to the other platforms available on Big Red's lineup. However, we're going to have to wait some time before this one comes to light – especially when Verizon is becoming very crowded with some premium Android sets. So far it looks like this will become a reality some time in the first quarter of 2011, but at least this is something in the pipelines.
