We knew it was
going to happen, and today at CTIA it did, as Verizon officially announced the new
LG Cosmos VN250. The Cosmos is a budget messaging phone with sliding 4-row QWERTY keyboard, similar to the
LG Rumor 2 for Sprint. Features include a 2" 320x240 pixel resolution QVGA display with 262K color support, 1.3MP camera, 2.5mm headset jack, threaded messaging, CDMA 1x for data (no EVDO), Bluetooth 2.1, voice commands, Bing search, microUSB data port, and will support microSDHC memory cards up to 16GB in size. You can pick-up the LG Cosmos VN250 starting this Thursday (without a data plan) for $29.99 after a $50 rebate with a 2-year contract.
