Android Nougat update now available for Verizon Moto Z Droid and Z Force Droid
Today, some lucky owners of the Motorola Moto Z Droid and Moto Z Force Droid received updates to Android 7.0 Nougat. Verizon (the exclusive carrier of the two phones) hasn't announced anything about this yet, but we assume it won't be long before it confirms the roll out, and all Moto Z Droid users will be getting the update.
As revealed by a few users on Reddit, the Android 7.0 Nougat update (software version NCL26.86-11) takes about 20 minutes to be installed on a Moto Z Droid, and includes - among other things - features like split-screen mode, quick app switching, new Data Saver, and support for Google Daydream VR.
The Moto Z Droid and Moto Z Force Droid are the first Motorola handsets to get Android Nougat in the US. Before the end of the year, Motorola should start updating all other Moto Z models (including unlocked ones), as well as the Moto G4 family, plus most if its smartphones released in 2015.
If you have a Verizon Moto Z Droid or Moto Z Force Droid, let us know if you're seeing any Nougaty notification on it, will you?
