Motorola was incredibly fast when it came to pushing out the Android 4.4 update to the various carrier models of the Moto X, but it has been taking a bit more time to get out the incremental update that brings the software to Android 4.4.2. The T-Mobile/unlocked and US Cellular models of the Moto X have already gotten the 4.4.2 update, and now it looks like it may be almost time for the Verizon model to get in on it as well.
PhoneArena community member Sniggly has let us know that he received a soak test invite from Motorola for his Verizon Moto X. The invite doesn't mention what exactly the soak test is for, but that seems pretty easy to figure out. There's really only one kind of soak test coming from Motorola right now and that is for the Android 4.4.2 update.
The soak test hasn't begun, so there's no real way to say when the update will be approved and pushed out. As of right now, we have to assume that the update will bring the same things to the Verizon Moto X that it has to the other models, which means the addition of Google Cloud Print support as well as battery life and Microsoft Exchange bug fixes.
thanks for the tip, Sniggly!
