Verizon brings 5G to four more U.S. cities
All four major U.S. carriers continue to expand 5G coverage to more cities in the country, but even if you live in one of these lucky cities you only have 5G signal in certain regions. The same goes for the next four cities where Verizon has just deployed its 5G service: Washington DC, Atlanta, Detroit, and Indianapolis.

As Verizon points out, “parts” of these cities will be covered by its 5G network, and if you want to know where exactly you'll be able to take advantage of 5G data speeds, you can read Verizon's official announcement.

According to Verizon, its 5G Ultra Wideband service will be available by the end of 2019 in more than 30 cities including Boston, Charlotte, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Columbus, Dallas, Des Moines, Houston, Kansas City, Little Rock, Memphis, Phoenix, San Diego, and Salt Lake City.

Apart from the four cities announced today, Verizon's 5G network covers Chicago, Denver, Providence, and Minneapolis/St. Paul. In all of these cities, Verizon plans to expand service availability in the months ahead so that more people can access its 5G Ultra Wideband service.

You'll need a 5G-enabled smartphone to benefit from Verizon's 5G service. Luckily, you have several options at your disposal such as the LG V50 ThinQ 5G, the Moto Z3 and Moto Z4 combined with the 5G moto mod, the Samsung Galaxy S10 5G, and the Inseego MiFi M1000.
