Update for EVO 4G coming June 28th?
The EVO 4G may be the nation's first 4G enabled handset, but that doesn't mean it is too perfect to need an upgrade now and then. In early June, a maintenance upgrade was sent out and speculation is that the device will get another one on June 28th. As we reported, some users are having problems with the phone's Wi-Fi reception which is one of the issues that this rumored upgrade is supposed to address. Other things that could be updated include Exchange ActiveSync policy improvements and improvements to battery life. The latter would be accomplished by making improvements to a syncing problem the phone has with Facebook. The EVO 4G's frames per second problem, which caps the rate at 30fps, is not expected to be fixed as part of this release.
