Upcoming v2.2 of the Foursquare app for WP7 packs along speed improvements
Last week, we reported that the official Foursquare app for Windows Phone 7 was getting updated to version 2.0 – brining along a totally new design that fits with the Metro UI theme of the platform. However, it looks like it’s going to be updated yet again as version 2.2 is expected to become available in the Windows Marketplace some time next week.
Although the app just recently received a major redesign with its UI, version 2.2 of the Foursquare app actually carries along some speed improvements instead. Specifically, it has been optimized further to provide significantly smoother and more fluid operations – and to show how it compares to the current version, there’s a video of version 2.2 going heads up with version 2.0.
Sure it’s a minor update, but we’re sure there are going to be users out there content to see the app being refined in a streamlined manner.
