Unannounced Meizu M5 Note visits Geekbench
On Halloween, the entry level Meizu M5 was unveiled. Carrying a 5.2-inch 2.5D screen with a 720 x 1280 resolution, the M5 is powered by the MediaTek MT6750 chipset. Now, it appears that there will be a premium version of the device called the Meizu M5 Note. This handset was just put through the Geekbench benchmark test, giving us a limited look at the handset's specs.

The Meizu M5 Note has the MediaTek MT6755M Helio P10 SoC under the hood. For the Geekbench test, the octa-core CPU was running at 1GHz. 3GB of RAM is on board. That is up 50% from the 2GB of RAM employed by the M5. The M5 Note scored 687 and 2481 on its single-core and multi-core tests respectively.

The phone also received its CCC certification in China. The M682 listed on the documentation (click on the slideshow) should be the Meizu M5 Note, especially when you consider that the M681 is the M3 Note. The CCC safety mark is required on all devices imported, sold or used in the Chinese market.

So far, we have no word on when to expect Meizu to unveil the M5 Note. Pricing also remains unknown.
