Unannounced HTC Bolt reportedly coming to Sprint

3comments
Recently, it's been discovered that HTC filed a trademark for the "HTC Bolt" name, thus reminding us of the old HTC ThunderBolt smartphone (pictured on the left).

According to Evan Blass, who is famous for almost always being accurate when it comes to leaked information, the HTC Bolt should be released next month in the US via Sprint. This means that the upcoming phone might not be a true successor to the ThunderBolt, as this was a Verizon exclusive device (introduced in 2011 as the carrier's very first LTE handset). Then again, unless we're talking about another exclusive product, a launch on Sprint doesn't exactly rule out a release on Verizon.

Right now, there are no details on what features the HTC Bolt might be offering. We don't even know if this is a high-end device that you should get excited about. However, if the phone is somehow related to the ThunderBolt (as its name suggests), we do expect it to come with attractive features.

Since the HTC Bolt should be available starting October, we assume that it will be officially announced pretty soon. We'll let you know more about the new smartphone as soon as more info comes to light.
