Ubuntu sees a home in the HTC Touch Pro2
It doesn't really get as much of the credit as it deserves when you look at how much people have gravitated towards Android so openly, but Windows Mobile has been known to be extremely hackable in almost any way – you can definitely see it with all of the custom ROMs put out by xda-developers. One of its members has actually managed to figure out how to run Ubuntu on an HTC Touch Pro2 – which of course follows after the same thing happening to the Sony Ericsson Xperia X1 a month ago. For those not familiar with Ubuntu, it is essentially a form of Linux that's meant to run on computers, but xda member sebbo90 was able to get it to work somewhat on the Touch Pro2 – though without support for some radios just yet. Despite those major shortcomings, it may seem like a neat thing for the users out there who have the time and want to give it a try – just don't strain your eyes too much with the small sized fonts on it.
