The four major domestic wireless carriers have seen their fair share of high-end Android powered smartphones this summer, with some getting more than others, but there has been a lack of them with the regional carriers out there. Things are about to change now that US Cellular is starting to sell the HTC Desire – something that's been in the works for a while now. Customers can purchase the smartphone at $199.95 with a contract after a $100 mail-in-rebate. Although we're still at the early stages of Froyo's unveiling, the Android 2.1 powered HTC Desire will most likely move up to the newer version down the road. This beauty of a gem for US Cellular features a 3.7” capacitive touchscreen, 1GHz Snapdragon processor, 5-megapixel camera, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth. So if you've been itching to check out a high powered Android device for US Cellular, then this is surely the handset to side with.
